Meghan and Joe's Delaney House Wedding
Ryan Williams
Meghan and Joe were married on October 10th, with a ceremony and reception at the Delaney House.
These two had been best friends since high school and had even been dating other people before they finally got together during the summer after their freshman year of college.
One Spring Break, when Joe was living in Florida working with the Phillies, Meghan came down to visit. They went out to watch the sunset on Clearwater Beach, and Meghan’s friend, Kelly, was busy photographing the scenery and sunset as Joe walked Kelly down the beach. Kelly was distracted by the scenery but happened to snap a photo of the two of them hugging right after Joe proposed!
Joe and Meghan decided not to do a first look for their wedding, so they saw each other for the first time when Meghan was walking down the aisle. They really felt that it was worth it to have that genuine moment of excitement and love!
They wanted to make sure that everyone was having a fun time, so they skipped the soups and appetizers for the meals after the ceremony, just getting down to the main stuff so they could party. And then, once the dancing started, it was amazing to see that everyone stayed out on the dance floor the whole time.
Meghan was definitely a DIY bride—she said that it was important to her to make their wedding as personal as she could. She was also a bit nervous about being the center of attention, but by the time the day of the wedding rolled around, she was having so much fun that she wasn’t nervous or anxious at all!
Thank you, Joe & Meghan, for allowing me to be part of your special day. You two were truly amazing and fun to be around, and I wish you the best in your future together!
