Krista and Kaveh's Wedding at the Montague Retreat Center

Krista and Kaveh were married on July 17th, with a ceremony and reception at the Montague Retreat Center

These two amazing people met during a 5-month volunteer program in Israel, where they were assigned to live in the same apartment. Even though it didn't happen right away, they eventually started to fall for each other and then found themselves in love. After they returned to the states and some time together, they moved from Brooklyn to Jersey City. During the move, they had just spent the day unpacking and organizing their new home when Kaveh asked Krista if she wanted to grab some ice cream and watch the sunset. They went to Dairy Queen and then headed to Liberty State Park. There, with a view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in the background, Kaveh got down on one knee and proposed!

Guests had traveled from near and far to be part of Krista and Kevah’s special day, so before the wedding day, they held a separate picnic and hike at Mount Sugarloaf. It was a special moment, and all the guests were glad for the chance to spend more time with the bride and groom!

The day of the wedding was surprisingly hot, in the low 90s, and with the wide open location, Krista and Kevah thought ahead to keep their guests from overheating by passing out fans for everyone. It was a thoughtful gesture that again showed how much they cared about their friends and family.

Before the wedding, Kaveh and Krista had a first look, and they were grateful for the chance to just savor the sight of each other before things got busy. They then had a quiet Ketubah signing before the ceremony. Then, before the service started, the rabbi also asked them to take a few moments to look around at their surroundings, their friends and family, and then at each other. In that moment, they were able to truly appreciate all that had brought them together.

After that, they headed off for dancing at the barn. The highlights of the night included the amazing Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food that reflected their meeting in Israel—as well as the Horah that had everyone in the barn getting involved!

Kaveh & Krista, thank you for letting me be part of this amazing day! I was honored to see the love you share with each other—and with your loved ones.

Chelsey and Joe's Wedding at the Lord Jeffery Inn

Chelsey and Joseph were married on July 23rd, with a ceremony and reception at the Lord Jeffery Inn

These two met at the end of their senior year in high school at the prom. They weren’t each other’s dates, but they hit it off during the limo ride on the way to the dance! After that, they started dating, and one day, while they were on vacation in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, he woke her up early on a Sunday morning to watch the sunrise. On the beach, as the sun was rising over the ocean, Joe asked Chelsey to be his wife!

Joseph and Chelsey found out that they were expecting before the wedding, so Chelsey found a simple, light dress that ended up being easy to modify—which was so important when their little Mackenzie surprised them with an early arrival!

One of the most amazing moments of the day was the fact that Mother Nature was out on full display, as there were multiple rainbows at the wedding. They couldn’t stop talking about how “magical” the night was!

Joseph & Chelsey, thank you for letting us be part of your special day! We wish you nothing but the best.

Joe and Heather's Alexlee House Wedding

Ryan Williams

Joe and Heather were married on July 2nd, with a ceremony and reception at the Alexlee House in Greenfield, MA.

These two met through mutual friends during their first year at UMass, and Joe left his jacket behind in the building to make sure that he had an excuse to come back the next day! He just kept coming back every day after that, and they quickly became inseparable until, 12 years later, Joe made dinner at their home on Valentine’s Day and proposed over dessert!

The ceremony itself was stunning as Joe and Heather saw each other for the first time as she walked down the aisle. They had written their own vows, and it was clearly emotional for both the two of them and for everyone in attendance.

After the ceremony, it was off to the reception! While there was not live music, they wanted to do something special for their first dance, and they had Shawn, their DJ, perform Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be,” a favorite from the time when they first met.

During the reception, the two of them sat outside to watch the Greenfield fireworks in the distance. It was the first time they were really alone together, and they really took the time to enjoy each other’s company, listen to music, and just drink in the love of their family and friends.

Heather & Joe, thank you for allowing us to be part of your amazing day! We wish you nothing but happiness together.

Caroline and Rob's Lord Jeffery Inn Wedding

Ryan Williams

Wedding-at-Lord-Jeffery-Inn-Four-Wings-Photography_0001.jpg

Caroline and Rob were married on June 25th, with a ceremony at Mt. Sugarloaf State Reservation and a reception at the Lord Jeffery Inn.

Caroline and Rob met on Facebook as they were getting ready to start their freshman year at UMass. The two of them had joined the “Van Meter Hall” Facebook group after getting their dorm room assignments so that they could connect with their neighbors. A particular profile caught Rob’s eye—a pretty girl three doors down who played guitar and listened to Bob Dylan and Radiohead. He decided to message her, and they began chatting on Facebook as well as AOL Instant Messenger until they were spending their nights talking on the phone. When Rob proposed in August of 2014, he did so in front of Van Meter Hall—back where it all began.

The ceremony on the mountain was unreal. Rob played guitar as Caroline walked down the aisle, and one of their best friends—who had known them since the beginning thanks to being Caroline’s freshman year roommate—married the two of them.

Caroline and Rob also performed for their friends and family at the reception, and by the time they sang their last song (“Wagon Wheel”), no one was seated. Throughout the day, Rob kept looking at Caroline and asking, “Is this real life?” He was clearly amazed by how beautiful the wedding day was!

The day was also filled with personal touches. The table numbers were made with vinyl records that they had collected over the years, and Rob made the ceremony arch himself. One of Caroline’s oldest and dearest friends, who she had known since Kindergarten, was the one to hand-dye pieces of fabric and ribbon for the photo booth and flower bouquet. Another of their friends made hand-lettered signs for the ceremony and reception. Not to mention the flowers—Caroline had a vision of what she wanted, and the “outdoor” element of the ballroom was truly unforgettable!

Rob & Caroline, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day! You two truly are wonderful, and I wish you nothing but the best.
